Fulham Men's Shed

We want to help local men (and women) to create the first ever Fulham Men's Shed. Men's Sheds are community spaces for men to connect, converse and create. The activities are often similar to those of garden sheds, but for groups of men to enjoy together. They help reduce loneliness and isolation, but most importantly, they’re fun. Our offer to local people is explained below:

We are petitioning the LBHF council to offer the Shedders a space from where they could run regular activities such as woodwork. As of June 2018, there are ongoing discussions between different stakeholders within the council about the most suitable venue for the Shed.

Digital Inclusion

The Digital Inclusion Project is aiming to match volunteers with older people who wish to learn how to use the Internet. Our friendly volunteers can visit people at home and help with things like: making a free Skype call to a relative abroad, doing online shopping, using tablets or smart phones and much more.

There is no prescribed course schedule, each person decides what they want to learn and the meetings are tailored to individual needs and interests. Our volunteers will work one a one-to-one basis at the speed of the person, teaching them as little or as much as they wish.

Individuals can benefit from the project either by using their skills and becoming volunteers or by meeting with a volunteer to learn new skills.
